Advanced Fee Fraud Notice

ILCU has been made aware of an โadvanced fee fraudโ scam that is currently circulating.
The scam involves a member receiving a Whatsapp call, purporting to be from the ‘Credit Union’, requesting the following;
-Payments to be made by the member in order to release a loan/ funds
-The memberโs PPS number

Be cautious of calls from numbers such as:

083 813 1978

083 859 0918
Other numbers & unknown numbers may also be involved.

Your Credit Union will never contact you through WhatsApp to request payments or personal details. If you receive a suspicious call, do not engage. Contact your Credit Union with any concerns or questions.
